Linda Hirsch has been a producer of network news documentaries with Peter Jennings and Tom Yellin since 1996. She was co-producer for Peter Jennings’ final documentary for ABC News, Peter Jennings Reporting - Breakdown: America’s Health Insurance Crisis. Prior to that, she was a producer on several other award-winning Peter Jennings Reporting documentaries in the public health field, including From the Tobacco File: Untold Stories of Betrayal and Neglect, How To Get Fat Without Really Trying, and Bitter Medicine: Pills, Profit and the Public Health.

Linda first worked with the Jennings/Yellin unit on the ABC News documentary, Peter Jennings Reporting - Rage & Betrayal: the Lives of Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols. She continued as an associate producer for Pot of Gold about the domestic marijuana business, The American Game, a look at Little League baseball and the Emmy award winning The Gun Fight, an investigation of the National Rifle Association. She was an associate producer on the Emmy-award winning segment of The Century series In Search of the Promised Land.

Before arriving at ABC News, Linda was at CBS News, where she worked as a researcher and associate producer at the documentary unit CBS Reports and the weekly magazine series West 57th and Our Times with Bill Moyers.

Linda graduated from Wellesley College and Columbia University, where she received a master’s degree in English Literature. She is married with two children and lives in New York City.
