The DocGroup’s Girl Rising has been at the forefront of the call to action, activating a social media call to #BringBackOurGirls. Along with Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls initiative, GR co-hosted a Google hang-out for 1500+ live viewers on 5/6 and has announced a fundraising partnership with Catapult – 100% of donations go to the Emergency Project for Girls’ Education.

Homeland Confusion premiered on Capitol Hill last week for former and current Congressional and homeland security officials.
Produced for the Annenberg Public Policy Center, the film examines a key unfulfilled recommendation of the 9/11 Commission: streamlining Congressional oversight of homeland security. Homeland Confusion exposes how Congressional inaction has left the US more vulnerable to terrorist threats and fragmented authority hinders the department’s core mission – keeping Americans safe.
