September 2013 – Girl Rising curriculum released!

On 17, Sep 2013 | One Comment | In News | By Jessie Fairbanks

The DocGroup’s project Girl Rising, already a feature film and a global action campaign, is now a free school curriculum for upper elementary through high school students.

The film and campaign promote a powerful truth: educating girls in the developing world is transformative. In collaboration with the Pearson Foundation, Girl Rising brings this message to the classroom, with lesson plans based around the stories of the film’s heroines.

The film, has been seen by more than 205 million people, in theaters, on television and in private screenings across the globe. Click here for more.

  1. I was able to use some of your curricular materials but because I teach in a low income community without access to a color printer, I wasn’t able to use many of the printouts.
Hopefully you’ll be able to design a more easily navigated site if you’re involved with another such project. The crossover between the 10X10 site and the Girl Rising made it difficult for busy colleagues to easily access information.
