Amy Cunningham Atkinson

Producer

Amy Cunningham Atkinson is the producer of 10×10′s Afghanistan story. Prior to joining the 10×10 team, Amy worked for 11 years in New York City as a producer for the CBS News magazine 60 Minutes, where she reported, wrote and edited pieces for correspondent Ed Bradley. Her Emmy award-winning work at 60 Minutes includes a broad range of both domestic and international stories.

Bonnie Benjamin-Phariss

Vulcan Productions, Executive Producer

Bonnie Benjamin-Phariss oversees Vulcan Productions, partner and co-producer of 10×10.  Prior to joining Vulcan, she oversaw operations for the Walt Disney Company’s Disney Institute, and prior to that, oversaw public affairs programming at WNET.  Under her management, Vulcan Productions has produced documentaries on evolution, global health, the environment, music, education, mental health and space travel.  Programs have won numerous broadcast and journalism awards, including the Peabody Award, the Emmy Award, the Grammy Award, and the Wildscreen Panda Award.

Didi Bethurum brings over 10 years of digital marketing and social media strategy experience to 10×10. Prior to joining the team, Didi served as the Director of Customer Success at Involver, and the Director of Marketing for IAC‘s online gaming endeavor. She also held several marketing management positions for the MSN and Windows divisions during her 6-year tenure at Microsoft.

Nishima Chudasama

Associate Producer

Nishima Chudasama brings a wide variety of experiences to the 10×10 team, including her previous work in international development, theater and media production, and in higher education. Before joining 10×10, she served as a Research Analyst in MIT’s Office of Resource Development and she was an assistant editor on the documentary in-progress, In Search of Bengali Harlem, directed by Vivek Bald.

Alexandria Dionne

Production Manager

Alexandria Dionne comes to documentary film after having worked as a journalist and editor for 10 years at such publications as Rolling Stone, Village Voice, and Entertainment Weekly. Though originally from California, she worked in New York for over 13 years on a variety of long-format PBS documentary productions, including David Grubin’s Abraham Lincoln and Immigration films and Bill Moyers’ The Hudson River. Just prior to joining the 10×10 team, she produced radio pieces for KCRW’s Good Food. Alex now lives back in California with her husband and two kids.

Holly Gordon originally joined DocGroup as Vice President of Project Development, and is currently the Executive Director and Executive Producer of DocGroup’s most ambitious and far-reaching project – 10×10: Educate Girls, Change the World, a groundbreaking global social action campaign and film designed to raise awareness and inspire action in support of girls education.  It uses the power of story-telling to deliver the message that educating girls in developing nations can transform lives, communities and economies.

Lisa Herling brings more than 25 years of strategic communications experience to 10×10, having led the communications function for The Body Shop USA, Barnes & Noble, HarperCollins Publishers and Cengage Learning.   As both a strategist and an executor, with experience in corporate positioning, messaging, crisis communications, media relations and corporate social responsibility, Lisa has engaged with the c-suite and other key stakeholders – from employees and customers to NGOs and authors.

Senior Producer, 10×10 / Executive Vice President, DocGroup

Kayce Freed Jennings has extensive experience in both television news and documentaries. Before co-founding DocGroup – and helping to start its predecessor, PJ Productions – she spent 20 years at ABC News, covering international and national news and producing for virtually every broadcast in the network news division. She was on the staffs of Nightline, World News Tonight, Day One and 20/20, and based in London, Atlanta and New York.

Derek Knowles

Production Assistant

Derek Knowles joins the 10×10 team after graduating from Stanford University, where he majored in American Studies with a minor in Film. While at Stanford, Derek was heavily involved in the film community, serving as co-president of the Stanford Film Society. His travels have taken him to Italy and most recently South Africa, where he worked for Shikaya, an NGO focusing on education and the teaching of history in South African schools.

Christina Lowery brings broad experience as an independent documentary producer to DocGroup, having produced programs for PBS, ABC, CNN, A&E and The History Channel. Her feature film experience includes work as an archival footage consultant, most recently for Shine a Light, Martin Scorsese’s Rolling Stones concert film for Paramount Classics and The Good Shepherd directed by Robert DeNiro for Universal Pictures. She has also produced short-form documentary videos for the Smithsonian Museum.

Lauren Mitte began her career in film and television as an associate producer and line producer for commercials and independent feature films. She made the transition to nonfiction film and television when she joined DocGroup in 2009, where she supported the producing team on the Emmy-nominated 20/20 ABC News Special Over a Barrel: The Truth About Oil and was involved in coordinating shoots and booking talent for America in Primetime, a four part series for PBS.

Outside of her work for 10×10, Soleil writes long form features covering style, music, art, culture and travel for various publications including Rolling Stone Magazine and L’Officiel Magazine. Soleil spent close to a decade working in finance prior to her work in media.

Prior to joining the 10×10 team, Gina Nemirofsky worked as a freelance field and story producer on programs for MTV, CNN, Current TV and Discovery Health. Gina recently made the shift from television to feature documentary production, helping to produce global crowdsourced documentary, and UNDP partner project, One Day on Earth. An avid traveler, Gina looks forward to returning to the field to help tell the stories of these remarkable girls.

Haley Priebe

Director of Development

A recent graduate from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, Haley Priebe joined the 10×10 team as the Development Officer upon her return to New York. Her passion for empowering women, for education, and for international development stems from her studies of Sustainable Development and her work in microfinance at Pro Mujer, Grameen America, and the Microcredit Summit Campaign. She also co-founded www.MFIConnect.com and helped conceive of the Living On One documentary (www.livingonone.org).

Justin Reeves joined DocGroup in 2010 after returning from six years working with grassroots NGO’s in Latin America.  He has worked both as a journalist and in communications for NGO’s throughout Ecuador, Argentina and Chile. While pursuing his Master’s degree in Chile, he focused his humanitarian work on women and children living with HIV/AIDS and his production work on women marginalized by mental illness.

Hilary Sparrow manages the production, outreach & impact initiatives and evaluation of Vulcan Productions’ film, television and multi-media projects.  Her most recent work includes the award-winning six-hour PBS series, This Emotional Life and the web-based toolkit for educators, Success at the CorePrior to joining Vulcan Productions in 2008, Hilary was Director of Production for a Washington, DC-based independent film company where she oversaw projects for clients including National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, and The Smithsonian Channel.

After graduating from Arizona State University with an Intercultural/ Interpersonal Communication degree, Rediate moved back to Ethiopia to work for World Vision Ethiopia as a Journalism/Communication Officer, and at Selam Children’s Village where she started the Communications Department. While working for WVE, Rediate was introduced to 10×10 team and upon her return to the U.S she joined the team as Production Coordinator.
