GR takes center stage at WITW

Once again, The DocGroup’s Girl Rising brought down the house at the Women in the World Summit in NYC.

This year, Senna from Peru brought her powerful poetry to Lincoln Center. Take a moment and watch the fearless performance that brought the audience to their feet.

Senna was joined onstage by Get Lit poet, Marquesha Babers, who performed her poem inspired by Senna’s warrior spirit.

Homeland Confusion in DC

Homeland Confusion premiered on Capitol Hill last week for former and current Congressional and homeland security officials.

Produced for the Annenberg Public Policy Center, the film examines a key unfulfilled recommendation of the 9/11 Commission: streamlining Congressional oversight of homeland security. Homeland Confusion exposes how Congressional inaction has left the US more vulnerable to terrorist threats and fragmented authority hinders the department’s core mission – keeping Americans safe.
